FT Bilingual Elementary Teacher (Primary K-2) - Riverview
The Roaring Fork School District is seeking dynamic, knowledgeable, and innovative Bilingual Primary Grade (K-2) Elementary Teachers for our new Riverview school, scheduled to open in the fall of 2017. The district’s target for making formal offers to selected candidates is spring, 2017.
These inaugural positions require a unique commitment: hired staff will not only serve as educators in the new school next year, but will also be instrumental in this year’s design and development process for the school’s instructional programming and school culture. Starting immediately upon hire, all new Riverview staff will be encouraged to take part in a series of school design meetings. Because of the additional work required to successfully open a new school, all certified staff will have an initial required paid start date that is 10 days prior to that of a typical RFSD teacher contract.
Classroom teachers at Riverview will work closely and collaboratively with their team to develop and implement the RFSD instructional model, and will be supported through ongoing coaching cycles to help the continuous improvement of their craft. Riverview seeks a positive and proactive individual who strives to build strong relationships with parents, students, and colleagues and embraces the mission and vision of our school.
Once the certified staffing roster is more complete, teaching staff will be assigned into specific grade level positions that are best supported by their qualifications and experience to ensure the most dynamic and diverse instructional team partnerships possible. This announcement is for those with a strong interest in the bilingual primary grades (K-2). Please note that a separate application exists for traditional primary-grade educators, as do separate traditional and bilingual applications for the intermediate grades (3-5) and middle school grades (6-8).
