Description | FT Dual Language Coordinator (Bilingual-Preferred) (K-8) - Riverview
The Roaring Fork School District is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, innovative and versatile ELD Instructional Coach for our new Riverview school, scheduled to open in the fall of 2017. The district’s target for making formal offers to selected candidates is spring, 2017. Candidates holding a CDE CLD/ELD endorsement (or those who can obtain) are encouraged to apply.
These inaugural positions require a unique commitment: hired staff will not only serve as educators in the new school next year, but will also be instrumental in this year’s design and development process for the school’s instructional programming and school culture. Starting immediately upon hire, all new Riverview staff will be encouraged to take part in a series of school design meetings. Because of the additional work required to successfully open a new school, all certified staff will have an initial required paid start date that is 10 days prior to that of a typical RFSD teacher contract.
The Dual Language Coordinator at Riverview will work closely and collaboratively with their team to develop and implement the RFSD instructional model, and will be supported through ongoing coaching cycles to help the continuous improvement of their craft. Riverview seeks a positive and proactive individual who strives to build strong relationships with parents, students, and colleagues and embraces the mission and vision of our school.
