Colorado River BOCES (a newly formed board of cooperative education services) serves school districts in the Roaring Fork Valley to De Beque. Located in Parachute, CO, we provide special education leadership and services, run Yampah Mountain High School, provide alternative licensure, and administer the state supplemental and blended learning program.

We are looking for an energetic associate to actively support our financial and human resource needs.  This full-time position includes a competitive compensation package and offers some flexibility around working conditions.  The position includes budgeting, accounting, federal grants program management, accounts receivable /payable, payroll, state reporting, supporting the required state audit, and general communications and support.

This exciting opportunity will likely be available to someone with accounting background and ideally experience in public school finance.  It offers the opportunity to build a new accounting structure and support the work of staff on behalf of students in our region.

Applicants must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting and at least three years of related experience.  The position is 230 day contract with the salary ranging from $50,000-$75,000 based on experience and level of academic degree.  The position reports directly to the Colorado River BOCES Executive Director.
