FT Literacy Intervention Paraprofessional (Bilingual Preferred) - SES

The Roaring Fork School District is seeking dynamic, knowledgeable, innovative and versatile English Literacy Intervention Paraprofessional for Sopris Elementary School, scheduled to begin in the fall of 2017. This is a full-time (~37.5 hrs/week, 185 days/yr) position that includes state pension membership and subsidized health benefits. 

Literacy Interventionists at SES will work closely and collaboratively with their team to develop and implement the RFSD instructional model, and will be supported through ongoing coaching cycles to help the continuous improvement of their craft.  SES seeks a positive and proactive individual who strives to build strong relationships with parents, students, and colleagues and embraces the mission and vision of our school.

Required Qualifications:

* Ability to pass CBI/FBI background check

* High school diploma or eqivalent (GED) 

Desired Qualifications:

* Experience working with children, particulary those for whom English is a second language.

* Experience creating and implementing impactful interventions and/or learning moments for children.

* Bilingual ability in Spanish and English
