Health Aide & Bus Driver - Riverview School

RFSD is seeking an individual to provide student transportation to/from the Riverview School in S. Glenwood Springs (short bus only - no CDL required with paid training available) as well as student health services during the day (CPR required but will train) This is a great opportunity to work full time with free health insurance and know that you are helping the District achieve its mission to ensure that every student develops the enduring knowledge, skills and character to thrive in a changing world.  

Interested candidates must pass a criminal background check and enter into the drug and alcohol testing program for Drivers.  Pay for both portions of this full-time position depends on applicable experience.  

Health Aide:

Serves basic student health needs and performs other functions not requiring a School Nurse. Requires CPR, Basic First Aid and data processing skills. Bilingual ability and previous health care experience working with children are highly preferred. 

Bus Driver:

For 2-3 hours per day, employees are responsible for the safe transportation of students to and from school. Working conditions include driving students in a short school bus in traffic and inclement weather.   The employee must be physically able to perform and demonstrate emergency evacuation procedures. This includes the pushing/pulling of up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, night/dusk vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. This portion of the position is paid at $18.18 per hour and includes paid training hours if needed.  Summer driving work is also available upon request starting in June.
