Post-Secondary Opportunity Coordinator
Part-time (20-30 hrs/wk)
ONE-YEAR CONTRACT ONLY (Remainder of 2017-18 with extension possible)
Bridges High School seeks a Part-time Post-Secondary Opportunity Coordinator to assist students with the discovery and pursuit of post-secondary opportunities. This position will provide outreach and application support to Bridges students and their families, so that they can understand and apply-for post-secondary opportunities, including jobs, internships, colleges, and any related scholarships. Along similar lines, this position will work to establish new local supports and scholarship funds through outreach to, and coordination with, donors and potential donors.
Knowledge of college entrance processes and the associated requirements (in general and within Colorado) as well familiarity with scholarships and their applications, is required. This role exists as a part of a larger team supporting students toward and beyond graduation. For this reason, the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, is paramount, as is a team-oriented, student-focused mindset.
