This position is being made available for the 2018-19 school year ONLY, to cover a teacher leave of absence.
Roaring Fork High School is seeking a full time Social Studies Teacher that has the experience, skills and knowledge to teach a combination of Social Studies courses including: American History, World Geography, Government/Economics, AP Psychology, and AP American History/World History.
Experience working with English Language Learners is helpful.
Additionally, all teachers are in charge of their own advisory (CREW). Candidates must possess, teach, and model the RFSD Habits of Scholar. Candidates must be willing to sponsor and support existing student programs. Selected candidates will be asked to provide a demonstration of their ability to teach to a wide range of students.
RFHS is a small, comprehensive high school with approximately 370 students. Our school is comprised of approximately 57% Latino and 43% Anglo students.
Candidates must be highly qualified. Bilingual candidates preferred.
