Crystal River Elementary School - Kindergarten Teacher

The Roaring Fork School District is seeking applications for a dynamic, knowledgeable, innovative kindergarten teacher to ensure that every student develops the enduring knowledge, skills and character to thrive in a changing world. This an a.m.-only (half-day) part-time position, with optional access to health benefits. 

Crystal River Elementary School (CRES) serves a diverse and multilingual student population of 450 PreK- 4th grade students. Teachers at CRES work closely and collaboratively with their team to develop and implement RFSD instructional model, and are supported through ongoing coaching cycles to help the continuous improvement of their craft. CRES seeks a knowledgeable, positive, and proactive individual who strives to build strong relationships with parents, students, and colleagues and embraces the mission and vision of our school.

Required Qualifications:

*Colorado Teaching License (K-6) or Early Childhood License (0-8 years old)

Desired Qualifications:

*Elementary primary-grade teaching experience

*Experience teaching a diverse population of students including English Language Learners and previous work with intentionally implementing culturally responsive instruction.

*Strong background in literacy and mathematics instruction.

*Training in Orton-Gillingham (OG) basic, and/or advanced levels

*Experience designing and delivering high-quality Project-Based Learning (PBL) units

*Bilingual
