PT PEAK Teacher (Bilingual-Preferred) (K-8) - Riverview
The Roaring Fork School District is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, innovative and versatile part-time (~24 hours/week) PEAK Teacher for our new Riverview school, which opened in the fall of 2017. The district’s target for making formal offers to selected candidates is spring/summer, 2018. Candidates holding any K-6 or Secondary endorsements are encouraged to apply.
The PEAK Teacher at Riverview will work closely and collaboratively with their team to develop and implement the RFSD instructional model, and will be supported through ongoing coaching cycles to help the continuous improvement of their craft. Riverview seeks a positive and proactive individual who strives to build strong relationships with parents, students, and colleagues and embraces the mission and vision of our school.
Required Qualifications:
* Colorado Teaching License in either Elementary Education (K-6) or a secondary discipline (7-12)
Desired Qualifications:
* Broad teaching experience that includes working with gifted children and/or special education
* Interest in and the ability to train for and teach across several disciplines in a small, new-school environment.
* Experience teaching a diverse population of students including English Language Learners and previous work with intentionally implementing culturally responsive instruction
* Strong background in literacy and mathematics instruction
* Bilingual ability and/or CLD endorsement
