FT Literacy Intervention Teacher (Bilingual-Preferred) (K-8) - Riverview

The Roaring Fork School District is seeking dynamic, knowledgeable, innovative and versatile English Literacy Intervention Teachers for our new Riverview school, which opened in the fall of 2017. The district’s target for making formal offers to selected candidates is spring/summer, 2018. Candidates holding any endorsement related to literacy, literacy intervention, or CLD/ELD/Bilingual are encouraged to apply.  

Literacy Teachers at Riverview will work closely and collaboratively with their team to develop and implement the RFSD instructional model, and will be supported through ongoing coaching cycles to help the continuous improvement of their craft.  Riverview seeks a positive and proactive individual who strives to build strong relationships with parents, students, and colleagues and embraces the mission and vision of our school.

Required Qualifications:

* Colorado Teaching License that includes an endorsement related to literacy intervention

* Experience creating and implementing impactful interventions for language learners. 

Desired Qualifications:

* Broad specials teaching experience

* Interest in and the ability to train for and teach across several disciplines in a small, inaugural school-year environment.

* Experience teaching a diverse population of students including English Language Learners and previous work with intentionally implementing culturally responsive instruction

* Strong background in literacy and mathematics instruction

* Bilingual ability and/or CLD endorsement
