The Roaring Fork School District (RFSD) is seeking applications for a strong instructional leader to serve as the Secondary Instructional Facilitator.  RFSD serves a diverse student population of 5600 Prek-12 students in 12 schools. (4 high schools, 4 middle schools and 4 elementary schools.) This Facilitator will work in collaboration with the Curriculum and Instruction department and building leaders  to coach and train new and existing staff and facilitate the induction program for educators at the secondary level. They will also develop and facilitate professional development for secondary certified staff to improve educator effectiveness.  

The ideal candidate must demonstrate ability in the following areas:

• Create trust and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
• Advanced knowledge of district and state assessment
• Advanced knowledge of using data to promote student achievement
• Best practices in teacher coaching and professional development
• Strong communication skills, including public speaking skills; bilingual (Spanish-English) preferred

• Strategically plan for success using data
• Strong understanding of and experience in closing the achievement gap
• Identify and promote effective instructional practices
• Effectiveness as both a team leader and team member
• A growth mindset, and deep personal commitment to continuous learning and professional-practice improvement.
• Seven years experience teaching at the secondary level and a Master's Degree in Education or related field
• Experience in math and science is preferred.

This is a full-time, benefited position and is contracted for 204 days. Pay is commensurate with education and experience.
