Crystal River Elementary - Part-Time (20 hrs) Special Education Paraprofessional (Aide)

Crystal River Elementary is seeking energetic, flexible, positive “self-starters” who are ready to make a difference for kids. Special education paraprofessionals provide support in the general classroom setting and sometimes in the 1:1 setting for students who have been identified as needing extra support in academics or with social-emotional skills. Come join our team!  Pay starts at $14.65 but will be higher for those with experience. 

Crystal River Elementary School (CRES) serves a diverse and multilingual student population of 500 PreK- 4th grade students. Staff at CRES work closely and collaboratively with their team to support students. Required Qualifications:

*High School Diploma

*Paraprofessionals may be required to lift students/objects, position students' bodies as needed in and around the learning environment, and respond efficiently "in-the-moment" to what are sometimes unpredictable physical needs.

Desired Qualifications:

*Experience working with children in an educational setting

*Experience working with children with special needs

*Bilingual

*Ability to work efficiently while managing time and multiple responsibilities

*Ability to use a service oriented attitude under stressful situations with interruptions
