Design/Build Instructor

Glenwood Springs High School (GSHS) seeks a talented wood worker, carpenter, designer, architect, tinkerer or artist with construction experience to fill a part-time teaching vacancy (67% time, or 2-3 days/week).

About Glenwood Springs High School (GSHS):

An award-winning school (The Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award), GSHS is home to 900 students, grades 9-12.  GSHS is the largest of three high schools within the Roaring Fork School District RE-1.  Built in 2007, the GSHS campus integrates a fully outfitted 3,000 square foot woodshop space directly into its main classroom corridor 

About (co)studio:

Job Duties:

Teach 3 periods of introduction to working with wood

Teach 1 period of more advance working with wood

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience teaching in an active woodshop environment.  Thorough knowledge of safety protocols and technique on a variety of woodworking machinery and hand-held tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A strong record of design/build project completion. 
• Experience teaching middle school or high school students.
