FT Middle School Science Teacher (6-8) - Riverview
The Roaring Fork School District is seeking dynamic, knowledgeable, innovative and versatile Middle School Science Teachers for our new Riverview school, which opened in the fall of 2017. The district’s time-target for making a formal offer to the selected candidates is immediate (withiin the current school year) This is a partial-year assignment with the possibility to extend, although renewal into 19-20 is not guaranteed. Candidates holding or eligible for a 7-12 Science endorsement are encouraged to apply.
Classroom teachers at Riverview will work closely and collaboratively with their team to develop and implement the RFSD instructional model, and will be supported through ongoing coaching cycles to help the continuous improvement of their craft. Riverview seeks a positive and proactive individual who strives to build strong relationships with parents, students, and colleagues and embraces the mission and vision of our school.
Required Qualifications:
* Colorado Teaching License in a Secondary Science, or ability to obtain (7-12)
Desired Qualifications:
* Middle school Science teaching experience
* Interest in and the ability to train for and teach across several secondary disciplines in a small, inaugural school-year environment.
* Experience teaching a diverse population of students including English Language Learners and previous work with intentionally implementing culturally responsive instruction
* Strong background in science instruction
* Bilingual ability and/or CLD endorsement
