The Roaring Fork School District is seeking a full-time Food Services Administrative Assistant for immediate hire! This position is under the direction of the Food Service Director. The Food Service Administrative Assistant will assist with the complex record keeping requirements and administration of the foodservice program for all district schools according to policies and procedures, and federal / state requirements. The starting pay is $17.50 or higher based on experiene, and is full-time benefits eligible.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of:
- POS, cash registers, reconciliation reports and card reader programs
- State and federal laws and programs pertaining to food service programs HACCP policy and guidelines
- Google Drive Applications
- Inventory procedures
- District policies and guidelines
- Basic computer skills
- Excel spreadsheets
- Methods and techniques used in accounting and financial management practices Principles and practices of auditing and reporting.
- Basic mathematic and accounting principles
- Methods and techniques of coding and balancing accounting records.
- Principles used in clerical accounting and bookkeeping.
Ability to:
- Maintain records and complete reports, including web based reporting Accurately count, record and balance assigned transactions
- Interpret and apply District policies and procedures.
- Work independently in the absence of supervision.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Adhere to food service dress code standards
- Manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, use time efficiently, demonstrate attention to detail. Provide assistance in budget development and preparation
- Apply bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping principles
- Collect, compile and research information and data.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and confidential records and reports.
- Respond to requests and inquiries from building administrators, vendors and the general public Accurately count, record and balance assigned transactions.
- Interpret and apply District policies and procedures.
- Implement and maintain standard filing system.
EXPERIENCE & TRAINING GUIDELINES:
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Bookkeeping or financial background preferred. Experience in school food service programs preferred. Ability to pass a criminal background check.
License or Certificate:
Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license. Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a Colorado Food Handlers Certification
