Roaring Fork School district is looking for a full-time HVAC Apprentice/Journeyman. Position is available immediately. Seeking an employee for entry level employee.  Must have high school diploma or equivalent and must have and maintain valid driver's license.  This postion is year round and full-time benefits eligible.  Starting pay is $17.89 and up based on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of:

Methods, materials, test equipment, practices and skills used in the repair

Modifications and installations of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, including electrical of various voltages and controls.

Hand and power tools used in the trade area.

Wiring diagrams, building plans and technical materials.

Parts and supplies necessary for the various jobs assigned.

Preventive maintenance principles and practices

Work order system and assigned software

Ability to:

Order required parts and supplies.

Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, technical materials and plans.

Follow safety regulations.

Estimate time and materials for various jobs and prepare completion reports.

Use tools and power equipment skillfully.

Maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the performance of required duties.

Communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Interpret, apply and explain District regulations, policies and procedures

Operate a computer and assigned software

Perform heavy manual labor in unfavorable weather conditions.

Work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings

Work independently in the absence of supervision
