The Roaring Fork School District is accepting applications for licensed substitute teachers (Guest Teachers). Those without a license but holding a bachelor's degree are also encouraged to apply. Long and short term assignments are available.

In the absence of the classroom teacher the guest teacher is responsible for providing instruction and managing the learning environment.  This is a licensed position.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and/or positive experience working with children.

Must pass a background check.

Must have or be eligible to receive substitute authorization or professional licensure from the Colorado Department of Education (CDE).

Must have the ability to comply with written and oral instruction.

Student and classroom management skills.

Willingness to stand or sit or extensive periods of time.

Effective time management skills.

Flexibility and adaptability with different job duties and assignments, sometimes with short notice.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Positive attitude.
